Welcome to our monthly countdown of the Top Ten Bollywood Songs of March 2017. This month we have some of the strong tracks, such as “Dangal”, “Enna Sona”, and “The Humma Song”, being joined by a two tracks from the yet to be released Bollywood film, “Badri Ki Dulhania”, which will hit the screens on March 11, 2017. The title track of “Badri Ki Dulhania” has already hit the number one position on our chart, and has a considerable amount of video views as well. 10. Jolly Good Fellow – Meet Brothers
Jolly LLB 2 is an enjoyable and entertaining film about the Indian legal system, directed by Subnash Kapoor and starring Akshay Kumar. The track, “Jolly Good Fellow” was composed and performed by the Meet Brothers, Manmeet Singh and Harmeet Singh, lyrics by Shabbit Ahmed. This is a fun track, delightful, full of color and energy. The video is vibrant and Kumar most certainly gets to show off some of him love for performing comedy.
9. Dangal – Daler Mehandi
“Dangal” is the title track from the mega smash hit Bollywood film, “Dangal”, the true to life story of a courageous family and their trials and victories as they compete, live and love. The title track is composed by Pritam and performed by Daler Mehandi. This is a very inspiring track. Mehandi treats this song as an anthem for people everywhere, as it invigorates the spirit, with a powerful chorus that cheers you on, no matter what you are going through. Though written for a sports film, it is an assertive piece of music which can be applied to many aspects of life.
8. Kaabil Hoon – Jubin Nautiyal and Palak Muchhal
If you are searching for that one romantic track that will make you feel joyous and wistful, look no further. “Kaabil Hoon” is the title track for the Bollywood Blockbuster, “Kaabil”, directed by Sanjay Gupta and starring Hrithik Roshan. Beautifully rendered by Jubin Nautiyal and Palak Muchhal, this tender song of love and devotion was composed by Nasir Faraaz. “Kaabil Hoon” is a magically done feast for your heart and soul. The gentle, rhythmic instrumentation adds just enough support without overpowering the piece.
7. Bawara Mann – Jubin Nautiyal and Neeti Mohan
“Bawara Mann” is from the satirical Indian courtroom drama, “Jolly LLB 2”, it is a lovely romantic track performed by Jubin Nautiyal and Neeti Mohan with lyrics by Junaid Wasi and music by Chirantan Bhatt. This is a sweet and soothing number, and its rhythm will have you gently swaying to the beat. In the film, Akshay and Huma Qureshi just ignite the screen with their chemistry, which is fun to watch. There is no doubt that you will actually feel the love, and be embraced by the energy of this track.
6. Laila Main Laila – Pawni Pandey
Sunny Leones exotic dancing enhances the mesmerizing effect of this track. Originally composed by Kalyanji-Anandiji in 1980 for the film, “Qurbaani”, the track has been slightly modernized by Ram Sampath. Pawni Pandey’s interpretation and vocals have kept the charm of the original intact. “Laila Main Laila” appears in the 2017 Bollywood action thriller, “Raees”, directed by Rahul Dholakia and stars Shah Rukh Khan and Mahira Khan. This is a gorgeous and skillfully performed number when seen in context of the film, you are guaranteed to feel the charge, the emotion and the love.
5. The Humma Song – A.R. Rahman, Jubin Nautiyal, Shashaa Tirupati, Badshah, and Tanishk Bagchi
Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor have swept up the hearts and souls of Bollywood fans with this number. The choreography is stunning, energetic and will leave you feeling as if you could romance and dance all night long. This track is from the hit Bollywood film, “OK Jaanu” and has the original lyrics by Mehboob, with the added rap of Badshah and is performed by A.R. Rahman, Jubin Mautiyal, Shashaa Tirupati, Badshah, and Tanishk Bagchi. Already over 140 million views on the Sony’s youtube channel, the “Humma” song shows no sigh of slowing up soon!
4. Tamma Tamma – Bappi Lahiri, Anuradha Paudwal, and Badshah
“Tamma Tamma” is from the yet to be released Bollywood film, “Badrinath Ki Dulhania”, a comedy film starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, directed by Shashank Khaitan. Listed in the films soundtrack as “Tamma Tamma Again”, this song has lyrics by Indeevar and Badshah, with music originally composed by Bappi Lahiri in 1990, and modernized by Tanishk Bagchi, performed by Bappi Lahiri, Anuradha Paudwal, and Badshah. Overall a fantastic track, infectious, catchy and addictive, with the rap by Badshah adding just that perfect final touch. Well done!
3. Enna Sona – Arijit Singh
“Enna Sona” is another song from the hit Bollywood film, “OK Jaanu”. Music composed by A.R. Rahman with lyrics by Gulzar and performed by Arijit Singh. This fabulous track has been a favorite for film audiences for its gentle romantic sensuality, which is reflected by the performances in the film. Arijit’s interpretation of the lyrics is on target, and one can feel the tenacity and power of love through his rendition. Instrumentation is supportive, gentle and is careful to not control the track, giving it excellent balance and ensuring the meaning of the words are solid, straightforward and meaningful.
2. Zaalima – Arijit Singh, and Harshdeep Kaur
“Zaalima” is a track from the Bollywood crime drama, “Raees”. Music composed by JAM8, lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya and performed by Arijit Singh, and Harshdeep Kaur. “Zaalima” is an upbeat and fun romantic track, which a good hook that makes it catchy and quite enjoyable. Arijit simply has a way of conveying the magic of love and romance in any ballad he takes on, and this is no exception. Harshdeep’s lithe and sweet vocals come across as pure and gentle, countering Arijits masculine tones in a most pleasant manner.

“Badri Ki Dulhania” is the title track for the film of the same name, which is set to be released on March 11, 2017. “Badri Ki Dulhania” was composed by Tanishk Bagchi with lyrics by Shabbir Ahmed and performed by Dev Negi, Neha Kakkar, Monali Thakur, Ikka Singh. This is an absolutely fun and entertaining track, just watching the video makes you want to get up and dance, right where you are. Playfully romantic and very flirtatious in nature, you are sure to enjoy this flight of romantic fancy.
