Top 10 Best Funk Songs of All Time

Checkout the below listed latest and best top 10 best Funk songs of all time 2017, Funk is a music genre that originated in the mid-1960’s when African American musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new arrangement of music through a mixture of soul music, jazz, and rhythm and blues. Funk put more emphasis on chord progressions more than the melody and brings a strong rhythmic indentation of a bass line played by an electric bassist and a drum part played by a drummer to the foreground. Funk songs are based on an extended vamp on a single chord, distinguishing them from R&B and soul songs, which are built on complex chord progressions. Funk uses the same richly-colored extended chords found in jazz.

Primus is an American rock band based in San Francisco, California. I see Primus as one of humanity’s last attempts at decent music. And a damn good one, too. Perhaps music is fading into whatever noises you can get out of a computers now, but when I see bands like Primus I have to rethink that statement.

My Name is Mud is a raw simplistic contagiousness of the bass line combined with the unabashed cold-blooded-ness of the lyrics makes this one persuasively fabulous. This song is awesome! Without a doubt my favourite of ours.
