Welcome to our countdown of the Top 100 Songs for March of 2017. These are the hottest tracks out at the moment, and include such burning and sizzling acts. Rae Sremmurd is at number 35 with “Swang”, Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar are at position 19 with “I Don’t Wanna Know”, with Big Sean and Eminem at 97 with “No Favors”. Just this past week we got to see Justin Timberlake’s stellar performance of his hit, “Can’t Stop the Feeling” on the 89th Annual Academy Awards. Life is not always perfect, and sometimes things can go wrong. In “Bounce Back”, Big Sean makes use of his life’s experiences and constructs a track where sometimes you have no choice but to ‘bounce back’ from being knocked down. This track features Kanye West and Jeremih, and its strong message is reinforced ty the strength and power of the beats. For those who want to get up and dance, and enjoy some good disco, “Chained to the Rhythm” is handpicked, just for you. This tropical disco flavored track was composed by Katy Perry and Max Martin. This track might be up beat disco, but it is also politically charged. It calls for people to stop being apathetic, and learn to become involved in the world they are living in, that conformity can be a chain, and to break free from this chain can lead to a better world.

Immediately upon your first listen to “Love on the Brain”, you’ll notice the familiar 50’s retro rhythm and blues ‘doo-wop’ style. The swing and sway of this track. Composed by Fred Ball, Joseph Angel and Rihanna, this track will and its soulful style will have you feeling for this woman, who cannot quite get enough of the man whose love keeps her heart, mind and soul captive.

“Paris” is a track from the DJ duo, The Chainsmokers. While one immediately thinks of the city of love, Paris, the track is actually about a state of mind, rather than a specific place. Written by Andrew Taggart, Fredrik Haeggstam, and Kristoffer Eriksson, with vocals by Andrew Taggart and Emily Warren, this catchy EDM track concerns the situation of two lovers who dream themselves into a fantasy world, while the imperfections of the real world crash in all around them.

5. Closer – The Chainsmokers Featuring Halsey

Classic EDM, this smash hit from The Chainsmokers tells of what happens when two lovers who had not seen themselves for over four years, decide to reconnect. This is an energetic, catchy track by the DJ duo, The Chainsmokers, with vocals by Andrew Taggart and Halsey. This song was composed by Andrew Taggart and Shaun Frank, with the beat built by Taggart and Freddy Kennett, and has become an international chart topping mega hit, reaching platinum status in at least 8 countries.

4. That’s What I Like – Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars has had a healthy amount of musical success from his 2016 album, “24 K Magic”. The track, “That’s What I Like” is just another sample of the richness that this album offers. This is a catchy, up tempo, hip hop and rhythm and blues, new jack swing track. “That’s What I Like” has Mars telling a possible partner Just exactly what it is he likes, “Gold jewelry shining so bright, strawberry champagne on ice, Lucky for you, that’s what I like….” This track was composed by Bruno Mars, Phillip Lawrence and Christopher Brody Brown (alias Shampoo Press and Curl).

3. I Don’t Wanna Live Forever (Fifty Shades Darker) – Zayn Malik and Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik create a wonderful duet that captures the mood of the hit film, “50 Shades Darker”. Composed by Taylor Swift, jack Antonoff and Sam Dew, “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever”, this electro/rhythm and blues ballad is performed beautifully by the duo of Swift and Zayn, giving fans a chance to see the more sensual side of Swifts vocals, and is careful to stay true to the situations that occur in the narrative of the film. “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” is the perfect vehicle to showcase the talents of the duo, as well as a faithful representation of the film.

2. Bad And Boujee – Migos Featuring Lil Uzi Vert

Boujee refers to ‘bourgeoise’, meaning the care-free, upper middle class materialistic type of folks. “Bad and Boujee” is a track that basically speaking of the bad and the pleasure seeking of the opposite sex. Hip hop group, Migos and Lil Uzi Vert released this track on October, 2016, and it became a social media sensation as people took lyrics such as ‘rain, drop , drop top’, and created memes, videos and pics. This is the first chart topper for Migos, and with their fans blessing, may they have many more.

1. Shape Of You – Ed Sheeran

The “Shape of You” is a song about a man reflecting on a woman he has glimpsed at a local bar. Composed by Johnny McDaind, Stever mac and Ed Sheeran, “The Shape of You” is a catchy and and up tempo track that was originally composed for songstress, Rihanna in mind. This classic pop/dance hall track is gently infused with trop house effects, where Sheeran sees a lovely lady while he and his buddies are enjoying a few shots, and his desire to get to know her more over a marimba style beat.
